Program Overview

The BBA in Global Business (GBUS), the first of its kind and highly sought-after business program in Hong Kong.

The BBA in Global Business (GBUS) is designed for capable and highly motivated students who aspire to be socially responsible leaders with global perspective, cultural sensitivity, compassion in social causes, sound critical thinking and humility. Moreover, it is designed to develop students to embrace global challenges with enthusiasm and confidence and to realize their dreams.

Learning Beyond Classroom

Learning at GBUS extends far beyond classrooms and libraries. Students can enjoy hands-on learning experience through engagement in Capstone Project and Public Service Project to apply practical knowledge to real-world issues. Besides a dynamic and diversified peer group whom students can learn a great deal from each other, there are countless co-curricular activities for students to get involved and connected with the community, such as student initiative teams, Global Leadership Forum, Global Leadership Development Program, Corporate Mentor Program, and International Business Case Competitions.

Flexible Curriculum and Global Learning

The GBUS Program allows great flexibility for students to pursue their individual area of expertise with customized learning experience. The design of the GBUS curriculum reflects our focus on the cultivation of students’ global and societal perspective, as well as application-based learning on business strategy and innovation. Students can select from a range of additional majors in business areas, or a minor offered at HKUST to fit their interests and aspirations. All GBUS students can spend up to two semesters of exchange abroad at different top business schools of their choice around the globe, thus forming a wide global network.

During their study, students can freely explore their pathway through local and overseas internships, semester-long placements, etc. After graduation, they can start their career in various areas, such as consulting, finance, NGO, or technology, or even be their own boss in start-ups, or pursue further studies, becoming future leaders in the global business network.
