OUR GRADUATES
GBUS values continuous learning through different opportunities. Students are open up to fun and engaging enrichment events within our program.
Global Leadership Forum (GLF)
Incepted in 2009 and hosted by the Dean of HKUST School of Business and Management, the Global Leadership Forum (GLF) features distinguished business leaders to inspire young minds with profound global insights. As an exclusive enrichment event within GBUS, the Forum is held twice a year for our bright students to provide an ideal platform for them to exchange ideas with industry leaders, faculty members, and corporate mentors, to broaden their exposure to conducting business in the global environment, and to sharpen their critical thinking through informed viewpoints.
Corporate Capstone Project
GBUS sees the complex need for students in real-world experience. Innovativeness and creativity have to pair up with business challenges to lead to new ideas. To encourage students who are interested in strengthening and applying their knowledge and expertise in a global business setting, GBUS provides learning opportunities for our students with corporate projects that have specific time, budget, and design considerations. Students can also gain an insight into the operations and challenges of the organization. Our corporate partners can enjoy working with a group of highly motivated prospective employees.
Team Building Exercise
Together we can go further and achieve more. GBUS holds team building exercises for our Year 2 cohort to offer a meaningful opportunity for our students to develop proactive “can-do” attitudes by stretching out of their physical and mental comfort zones. Through various outdoor events, students will develop individual achievements through trust, mutual support, collaboration, and synergy among team members. They will build positive and effective interpersonal relationships by overcoming challenges within our GBUS community in their future years of success.
GBUS students engage in completely student-led initiative teams that are highly involved in the cohort community to sharpen their leadership skills and foster their team spirit. This program-student partnership is an innovative co-creation process that establishes a community of effective practice.
