The HKUST BBA in Global Business (GBUS) attracts top local and international students who seek to excel in a highly interconnected and everchanging world. The program is designed to enrich students’ global perspectives through our signature activities such as global leadership forums, international study trips, and overseas exchanges in leading universities. Our desire is that, regardless of where they are or what they do, GBUS students and graduates will ‘Create Impacts with a Global and Strategic Mindset’ in their workplace and society. To achieve this vision, GBUS program will continually seek unique opportunities and new dimensions to enhance students’ global exposure and nurture their strategic and critical mindsets through in-class and outside-class activities.
GBUS courses are taught by excellent and inspiring international faculty with rich professional experiences—many of them also teach in our highly-rated MBA and executive education programs. Students have numerous opportunities to apply their in-class knowledge in outside settings, such as corporate and public sector projects, internships, case competitions, and student-led initiatives. These activities also provide valuable channels for students to strengthen their personal character, leadership quality, strategic thinking, interpersonal skills, and social responsibility. In addition, students can undertake an additional major or minor program to further broaden themselves. Upon graduation, our students pursue meaningful and dynamic careers in various sectors, such as NGOs, public service, consulting, investment banking, technology, start-up, and many more.
Our GBUS program welcome high-calibre students with diverse background, experience, and interest that share similar value with us. Although giving students a quality education is our priority, we also do our best to help them balance their other needs and interests. Once in the program, students receive personal support and professional mentoring from a close-knit community that consists of current students, alumni, corporate mentors, project partners, faculty, and administrators. There is also a wide range of social and non-academic activities that allows students to develop friendships within and beyond the program.
